Called me at 11am on 4/24/2025 asking my name and date of birth. They told me that my discover card application is accepted. Is it scam call?

I picked up after three rings, said hello, heard nothing for five or six seconds, hung up. Multi-line robocaller with the operator not paying attention?
They have called everyday in Feb. Left maybe 5 messages. But to call 6 times a day made me suspicious.

A caller in an Indian voice asked to speak to me, about my discover account
I told him I can take a message. he said that would be good. gave me this number to call then asked me to call the number on the back of my card. So I called the first number ending with 0350 it sounded different from the discover prompt that I'm used to hearing. I'm used to hearing welcome to discover in a clear voice/ this made me very suspicious because there were 2 different voices. Yeah, scams are often disguised as the real be careful and nice try.

They are using local area numbers , I asked the scammer if he was so so gave me a run around then finally gave me this number which i told him to hold on as i was googling it. He didn't last long after i told him what i thought. LOL

I have zero balance with Discover, and my account is frozen (I only use for a planned purchase), meaning there is no reason for a call- no late payments or potential fraud charges. They called 3x in a row, didnt pick up one call. Googled number and here we are. Avoid!

Keep calling about a problem with Discover card. I've never owned a Discover card. Nobody in my house has ever owned a Discover card. Told them this, they kept calling. It's either scammers fishing for information or a monumentally incompetent Discover employee. Now they're blocked. Permanently. Stay clear of these people: ignore or block.

Got a call from this number yesterday. It was an expected call from Discover Bank. But beware... Even though this is a legit number scammers can make their calls appear to be coming from it.
