They just called my company phone as well. Then I just got a call from my Father in a different state saying the same thing on his phone. I hope this idiot is reading these messages. SMAM IDIOT

Matthew Roberts was name they used. I called asking themto stop calling me... yet calls continue...
what can be done?

Called me several times, auto-robot just left messages claiming that they have papers to serve at home or work. Was by the Name of Matthew Roberts and number to call back was the 866-816-1095. Total scam, and they should be jailed for this type of fictitious extortion tactics. Pay them no heed and don't even call them back, just worthless bottom-feeders trying to scam people from old written-off credit debt reports from years way back.

After reading everyone else's comments, I called them back this morning. I was told that they have proof that the credit card company was contacting me but when I put pressure on them to send me proof, I was hung up on. Kept calling back and now they are not accepting calls from my calling area.

I've been receiving our good ole friend Matthew Roberts phone calls and messages for about a week. When I called back, I was told that I had a credit card back in 2004 and last paid on it in 2010(in which I don't remember) but she was willing to settle for 2k. When I questioned her more about this debt she told me that I will have to take it up in court..

They have been harassing me for weeks with multiple calls a day. After blocking the number, I now receive the same calls from an unknown number and I can't block unknown numbers. I called them and spoke to a guy on the phone, he said "enjoy the calls, goodbye." When I called back I was put on hold and then was hung up on.

I received several voice mails to call Matthew Roberts with the same # y'all have mentioned, my caller ID picks up several different #s from where the calls originated; (213)330-0187, (916)589-8603, (801)961-9999 are the last 3, I have decided to keep all these #s on my caller ID, and have reported all of them to the National Do Not Call list (all of my #s are registered with them). Whenever I've tried to call (*never* from one of my #s), if I get a person, I am told I owe (per them) a debt from 15 years ago, when I tell the idiot on the phone that the statute of limitations expired 8 years ago, like everyone else here, I get cursed at, called nasty names, and told that they will see me in court, to which I calmly reply, "go ahead, do your best, my lawyers will wipe the floor with yours, our State's Attorney General will love to have a conversation with them", and that I've reported them to be in violation of the "national do not call registry". I was surprised I got to say all that before the B*tch hung up on me. I have attempted to call back, but one of 3 things happens, 1) I am informed "thank you for calling Jackson Davis & Assoc, the next available agent will help you", then get awful music for about a minute, then get "all our agents are busy, please leave your name and #...", 2) the phone rings 2 or 3 times then I get a dial tone, 3) same recording as #1, but get different, but still awful music, and on hold for......I don't know, I've hung up after 4 minutes. This is just one of many "Collection agency" scammers out there, if they can be tracked down, they will be sued by several state's Attorneys General, as several other so called agencies have been sued, and fined several millions of dollars, and ordered to pay back several millions of illegally collected funds. I have decided that from here on out, I will just report the # the call originated from to the Better Business Bureau, and my state's Attorney General. Why talk to them anymore, and possibly give them "ammunition" to harass me even more over I bill I not only paid in full, but closed the account (via the now defunct) credit grantor?

If anyone is suing you, and a legal firm is handling it, they are going to contact you via registered mail, not via phone.

So what good is this post? People are being harassed by this company Jackson Davis & Associates...they say they are a law firm. Is this so? What law firm has the right to treat people so ugly. I feel that this site was put up by so called Mathew Roberts himself. Perhaps to thwart people from actually going to the authorities. Clever abnoxious people. Everyone, notify the Attorney Generals office. I'm going even further to call the news stations, and phone detectors for locations of their offices.

Received the same call from a Matthew Roberts stating he had papers to deliver to me at my home or business. When I called the number I get a recording the business states they are Jackson/Davis & Associates. I have found countless complaints about these people being scammers. Just threatening to go to your place of employment is illegal! Really are low life's. Best thing is to report them and not return their calls. So what do you do if this is a scam and they actually have my full SS#. The company that they say I owe money to I havent had a CC through them in probably 15 years and paid them off. Who do I contact in regards to that?

Yes this call come in many times before any one would answer when you call back,thy give a boggus names telling lies on people you don't owe and never owe this is in the south Carolina 864 area to any body and every body please be aware of this scam.

I was contacted on September 2 & 3, 2015. The company in question is Jackson Davis & Associates. The same person called and left a message. He identified himself as Mathew Roberts. His message said that he had papers to deliver either to my home or place of employment.

I asked for Mr. Roberts both times and was told that he was just a processor. The first day the person I spoke to wouldn’t give me any information about what this was about? No account numbers, name of the company or anything. He told me that the social security number they had listed and obviously it wasn’t mine. He advised me that he would let their attorneys know.

I received the same phone call today and when I called back to remind them that this is not me a woman named Veronica, she wouldn’t give me her last name. Said that I was marked down as a refusal to pay. Then began cursing at me when I started to ask for details about the suspected bill. Then when I asked to speak to her supervisor she refused and said “We’ll see your dumb ass in court”.

Yeah, I get the same call, same time for the last 3 days. I call back and get put on hold with the worst music that I have heard in ages. Nobody ever answers, but, they call back again the next day. I will try the part of reporting them to the police if I ever get to talk to one of them. The number they call on is 866-816-1095 and they say they are Matthew Roberts, you can tell right away it is a automated call!!

Matthew Roberts call my # several times and left messages. He said that he was calling for my daughter and he had papers for her that need to be delivered to her work or her residence and that my # was listed as a direct contact for her. He tried to get her social security # and became belligerent when I tried to give him her phone # and asked him to stop calling me.

robot caller and name mathew roberts when you call the number back the people are rude. will not give me info on there address and sure not giving mine. is this a scam or is it a real company. not sure
