I called them back and played along. Officer Cooper (with an Indian accent) threatened to arrest me. My boyfriend called him back acting like my attorney. He scared the guy into admitting he was a scammer. Keep prank calling this number! If they are busy with pranks they can't scam others!

This number called my mom's home today and on the caller ID it said it was a cell phone from Texas. She didn't answer and the voicemail was a message about the IRS filing a law suit against her. My mom called back and told them that she saw in the news, the IRS never calls, they send a letter instead to inform about the lawsuit. The guy claiming to be an IRS agent chuckled and my mom hung up on him.

I got a call today from this number....it was a recording saying IRS is filing a suit against us.....this will be last notice......call 1-214-208-0241.

Just got the same call from the same number. "IRS is suing me". Okay they owe me money, so obviously a scam.

Just received a call. I looked on IRS site after coming to your (this) site. There's a link to report. I did that. I also have an automatic call recorder on my cell phone, so i saved the call, though it's very generic and robotic. I did not call the number the call specified.

Same call. 214-208-0241. Female Voice recording re: "The IRS is filing a lawsuit against me" and "call back this number immediately before further action is taken". Obviously, I am not returning the call. Shame.

Female caller stating she was from the Internal Revenue Service and they are filing suit against me. Caller did not have too much of an accent, invited me to call back on this number to settle the case.
