I received the same kind of call via voicemail from a woman with a middle eastern accent claiming to have an American name and saying that they were from the Department of law and Investigations. I do not return their calls for the following reasons: 1) Middle Eastern person claiming to have an American name, 2) The number that showed on my Caller ID looks no other number that I have ever seen and am very suspicious of, 3) They are claiming to represent "The Department of Law of Investigations" I looked up this so called department, it does not exist in any state, futhermore I discovered that they are getting their information from CashNet. I had already paid off my loan with CashNet,

A few numbers like this have been calling me with a middle eastern man claiming to have legal documents that say i have taken out a loan on the internet and have not paid. They also have my social security number and other information. This is identity theft. They also try asking for your bank information along with account and routing numbers. When they call my advice is just to hang up. But what worries me is that they repeated my actual soc. sec. number to me so now i dont know what will happen
