I got an unsolicited call from this number this morning at 08:30, in South Africa.
The caller was a man with an Indian accent. He claimed to be from "Mackie Research" and asked if I knew anything about "Share Markets" (an unusual, generic term - VERY suspicious).
He claimed that they have an office in Johannesburg, South Africa.
He stated something to the effect that the market has done well, and the offer a service where they send you market tips 3 times a year, and would it be OK for them to call me back.
He asked for my e-mail address so he could send me information. I agreed so I could learn more about this SCAM. 1 minute later I received a blank e-mail with the subject "t". VERY suspicious. I flagged it as phishing.
He asked for my occupation and whether, if I was given a tip in the next few months, I would have 10,000 Dollars (presumably USD) to invest. Why would he use this currency if I am based in South Africa? I told him it was "unlikely".

THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A SCAM!!

Have any of you bought products from Amazon.com? I have a suspicion that someone in Amazon is selling our personal info. Never had this happen before and now I'm being called from an International number - very suspect.

Just phoned by this number asking me for my surname and what kind of working I am doing. They said asked if i ever invested in the stock market. I gave her my surname and email, she said that she will sent me info.

Hi I'm from Mauritius Island. An Indian guy called me and already had information about my mail and company. He asked If I could invest 1000USD within a month in the stock I told him yes. :p Hahahaha Thinking some fall for this!!

I was called from this number 15 minuhtes ago. The Indian accent guy asked to speak to Thobela of KaManeli Travels and I agreed that I am the person he is looking for. He said that he was calling for investment opportunities. I told him that I would call him back in few minutes because I could not here him properly, I needed to move from the area I was in. before I could finish my sentence he had already hung up. I tried calling back but the line is constantly busy

The y called me today, just offer buy stoks, etc. Ask can i invest 750 euro in a week or not, ask for my e-mail
