Hi I received a call as well stating i was selected from a survey which states i would receive $7500 , only if i send $290.00 to them with a reference #.When I researched the telephone # and anything that appiled to it ,it showed several people who were scammed due to this horrific act. In this tough economy it is sad that these types of erroneous acts happen. I'm sorry for anyone who believed in this and was duped i hope this fraudulent act is dealt with to highest extent of the law. I honestly believed in this but realize when the government issue hand outs in no way shape or fashion are you told to pay for it. This applies to anything and everything if you are asked to pay for something and they need you it is a SCAM!! BE VERY CAREFUL

Originally I was called from an unavailable number to tell me to call this number because I was picked as one of many through some survey to reciece a $7500 free government grant. They said that there were one of three different payout options; bank account transfer, visa debit card, or western union. I called the number given to me and i was informed that i would need to go to a Western Union location with a valid I.D., a $280 deposit for verification purposes that would be instantly refundable once they confirmed who I am, and I would need to be on the phone with her once inside the Western Union to follow her instructions. I asked why i needed a deposit if i had my I.D. and they gave me some flimsy B.S. I called Western Union and asked if they had had any people come in for this type of transaction and they said no. This definitely sounds like a scam. I don't mean to be offensive or sound racist but the two people I talked to couldn't speak clear english, I had difficulty understanding what they were telling me. Seriously, why the hell would you need a deposit to confirm identification when you have a valid state I.D.? I hope these people are caught, arrested, sentenced, and put to death.
