Same thing happened to us yesterday Oct 29th and the guy named jason spoke to my husband abt a 7000.00 grant free. Would not gv us any information as to where they were located and when my husbnad kept asking he gave them an address to an office right across from the Capital in Washington D.C....Needless to say when we called back, there was no answer AT ALL...They called again today I were told tht they were reported to our local police department....This time the call came up under W Malone
Just a "travel company in Round Rock Texas"
did not answer
A new scam of some kind? Female caller with a foreign accent seemed to be seeking to inform me that the "US parliament" was awarding me $7,000, tax free. I noted there was no US parliament,(was I hearing incorrectly?), at which point she said US government. When I asked why, she said from time to time the US gov awarded people with no debt history with gifts of money. I asked if I would be receiving a notification in the mail as well, and she said, no, didn't have to accept the money.. but...: I then asked for an office and number to phone her back and the line went dead.
It would have been 5:45 Fri PM DC time. Caller ID read Octothorpe and this number.
