A lady (Kathy) 202 248 9541 called to say I had a 9,000 dollar grant from the US Federal Government for being a good citizen. After a demographic survey, I was chosen among 1700 people. They gave a confirmation number and requested to call this number 202-738-1394 for Eric Newman - Manager, who would authorized the transfer. Then he requested to REGISTER paying $250 dollars to the Federal Reserve New York Bank, after that they would deposit $9,250 to my account. SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Be careful, don't give your information!!!!!!!!!!!!
Common IRS scamsters. The IRS does not call at all. They communicate by mail only. If you can't block the number, listen, laugh and delete.
Because I let calls from unfamiliar numbers go to voicemail, I haven't heard the full text of this spammer's message. It must begin playing its pre-recorded female computer voice as soon as my VM picks up, so I only hear the end of it, in which it asks me to return the call at this number. If it was really important, a real person would call! I would also love to know how my number made it onto this list. If nothing else, it's a waste of time to have to clear the messages from my phone.
Just called and told me it is ITS. Going to sue me. I am really sick of being targeted. It was a female voice, taped, for the rolling calls it makes. I am a senior on disability and really sick of being a target. Does our gov't sell list of people on disability? This crosses my mind weekly as I get these calls. Can't tell a recording to stop calling. Seems they try to get smarter every week.
