Received a call from a "Steven Douglas" who spoken very poor english, who claimed to be with the BCI-bureau of criminal investigations, threatening to file a criminal suit against my husband for not repaying a Pay Day Loan. My husband never took out a Pay Day Loan, however, this person seemed to have information about my husband such as the last four digits of his social, and the last four digits of our bank account. This person wanted to "settle" with us for $250, or he would file a claim with our local court house and have my husband picked up from work or at home, for non payment. This person wouldn't tell me when this deposit was made, but said he could verify that there really wasn't a Pay Day Loan, if I faxed him our last 3 bank statements. This was very scarey.
