A guy named Greg Cyrus called for about 4 months straight, threatening me and verbally abusing me to pay my bill. I actually spoke with him twice and had to hang up because of the way he was speaking with me. I've never received a written notice from Intermountain Credit (his employer), though he claims he's sent one. Then the other day I got a call from a gal (I can't remember her name) who threatened to sue me if I didn't pay THAT DAY, so I got scared and gave her my credit card number over the phone. After telling my boyfriend about it, I immediately called the bank and cancelled my card to get a new one so they won't get anything from me. Now she is calling constantly. I plan on writing a written request for them to stop contacting me, which they legally have to honor. Incredibly verbally abusive and threatening (to sue or send me to jail if I didn't pay right then), wanted my credit card number over the phone. I've never received a written statement from them concerning my bill and was harassed for at least 4 months daily. It just started again about a week ago. Greg Cyrus is SO abusive and mean, I'm surprised he's an employee anywhere. The women aren't much nicer, either. His name is Greg Cyrus (?) and I was harassed by him for about 4 months straight. He used extreme profanity when talking with me and (as someone mentioned above) uses strong-arm tactics to threaten you into paying a bill. I have never received a written notice from Intermountain Credit (as he claims he's sent). I then got a call from a gal (I can't recall her name) and she threatened to sue me if I didn't pay THAT DAY. I got scared and gave her my credit card number. After talking to my boyfriend directly after speaking with her, I called my bank to cancel my card and get a new one before the transaction could go through. I looked up what bill collectors can and cannot do: they cannot threaten you, they cannot ask for your card number over the phone, they MUST honor a written request for no further contact with you (which I plan on doing), no repeated or continuous calls or calling late at night/early in the morning or at work if you request them not to, and they can't verbally abuse you. They've done ALL of these things to me and should seriously be put out of business with the crap employees they have there.
