My very heavily accented person told me they were from Capital One. They too wanted to consolidate my CC bills with a zero percent interest rate. HMMMM Really? Within the first minute he asked me for the last four of my SS#. I asked him from where he was calling. He did not reply. He then said he would give me the first six numbers of my SS#. He gave me five numbers. To my amazement and worry he gave me those numbers correctly. AHHHH!!! He said, I then should feel comfortable enough to verify my identity with the last four numbers. Again, I asked from where he was calling. He replied, Card Member Services. I asked for his phone number. He told me to EFF OFF. Then he acted as if I misunderstood him and returned to his script. I asked another question and he hung up on me. I called the number back and of course it was not a working number. My fear is that he did know the first FIVE numbers of my SS and I pissed him off. What do I do now? Can't change my SS#. I turned my RoboKiller back on and blocked unknown numbers. My fear is that he call my elderly (she would verbally lash me for that} mother and she fall for it.
