I recv'd the same call... sad part about it is that some people must fall for it, because they are still doing it. I think Western Union should be blocking these types of transactions. It may not be there job, but it would be the right thing to do!

The person on the phone was foreign and told me that I won $1.6 million in a lottery, he then asked what was I going to do with the money. I told him I was going to save it for my children, he then asked to confirm my address, which he had, told me that I needed to just get a receipt from Walmart for $300.00 and someone would be at my house in 1 hour with the money. He said his name was Jack Fischer from Circle Award. When I told him I wasn't going to pay to get money, and questioned the 'fishy-ness' of the whole deal, asked him why his number came up blocked, and if I could do more research about his company, he was too eager to hang up.

He first ask for me using my wife's maiden name "Mr. (insert wife's maiden name)" I said "whom are you trying to reach?" "Mr. Matthew? "He said. "Yes, How can I help you". "I'm calling about a certified check you should have received" I told him I don't know what he's talking about and I never received a check. He then told me "You have just won third place in a lottery drawing worth 1.8 million dollars" I told him " I don't believe a word you're F'n telling me" He responds with "F@#K YOU" and hangs up.
He had an accent. I'm not very good at deciphering from were. But the call came from within my State not very far from me.

This same man "Michael Taylor" with Gold Rush International called my 82 year old grandmother this weekend, telling her that she had won a new Mercedes Benz and thousands of dollars. He proceeded to tell her to go to Walmart and get a money order for $499.00!! Thank goodness my grandmother had sense enough to tell him that she wouldn't do such a thing!

RECEIVED CALL FROM "MICHAEL TAYLOR" WITH GOLD RUSH INTERNATIONAL SAYING I HAD WON $1.8M AND WANTED TO KNOW HOW LONG IT WOULD TAKE ME TO GO TO WAL-MART AND GET A MONEYGRAM FOR $499.00. BRING RECEIPT BACK TO MY HOUSE AND UPS WOULD BE AT MY HOUSE IN 15 MIN. I TOLD HIM HE MUST THINK I AM A FOOL AND HE SAID I WAS THE FOOL FOR PASSING UP $1.8M.
