They have been calling me during working hours, so I ignored the calls. They left a voicemail. I called DirectTV and they told me that if it was them calling they would never use 317 area code. So I believe this is a bogus number and I blocked the call.
Have received 2 calls from this number, one today (12-26-17) and the first one on 12-21-17. I don't recognize this number so I don't answer, but I imagine it's a telemarketer, probably from Direct TV. They're a nuisance so I block them whenever possible!
Claimed to be from DirecTV. They did know my name and gave a pitch to look at some of the channels on the satellite line up. Told him I'd consider looking at those channels.
Was young man calling. Didn't give me his name. Knew acct holder was (name). I told him that the person was older and ill, I handle the bills. He went on to say he was going to add 2 channels for the price of one. I said I didn't want any more channels. We are on a fixed income. To my surprise so is his! So he understands. He then proceeded to rattle on. At that point, I, asked him what part of NO he didn't understand. He continued talking so I asked if I needed to report him. He continued rattling on so I said NO and hung up.
I was fairly confident it was bogus before I answered it. The girl had my name, knew I had a DirecTV acct.. same story, told me I'd get some free channels, wanted to sell me on Showtime...when I stopped her and said "I don't want any changes, leave things alone, I like the channels I have!!!" She kept trying to ask me what my family enjoys watching, movies? I told her again, it's just me, no family, I like what I have....she just kept trying.... so the next time she asked, what do you like....I said, I like to be left alone and not bothered by telemarketers, if I wanted to make changes to my DTV acct, I'd call them and do just that.....and I hung up the phone....
