I too received a message by email from this Mr. Eddy. Thanks so much for alerting me to not do business with this guy. I even cancelled my listing and fell for it. ALthough just in time as I will reject any mail he sends me. thank you and BEWARE OF THE FOLLOWING NUMBER

This phone number belongs to a scam artist on Craigslist that goes by the name "Mr. Eddy". He usually responds to couch/sofa ads on Craigslist and makes an attempt to hustle you with a fraudulent money order. The scam goes something like this: he goes into suspicious detail about sending you a money order for more than the purchase price of the item and directs you to pass on the "additional funds" to the individual picking up the sale item (this is, I believe, under the hope on his end, that you will send the "extra funds" to the person picking up the sale item before you cash the check...i.e. if you're suckered into this you will end up with no sale item, loss of funds, and additional charges for cashing a fraudulent check.

I just got a call from this number to my cell phone.
