This is exactly what just happened to me, they called my cell phone sayong they were from a carribean cruise line and kept asking for my phone number, and said it was a free cruise, and what kind of credit card do you typically use.. etc etc. gave me her nameand cruise id # and then described the cruise. Told me all i would have to pay for is the port fee. i knew it sounded like a scam so i called her out and she kept denying it no no, it's a great company, the carribean cruiseline and i could even give it away as present if i would like. just give my credit card and im set to go

They called about this free cruise to Caribbean and kept insisting that I give them my debit card number. I told them I'm very busy and I cannot take the call right now, but they're very persistent. It's like every 30 seconds they ask for my credit card information. They asked for the number, expiration date, and the name on it. They said I only have to pay a port tax of $118 and the rest of the trip is free. I don't really believe them right from the start so I keep asking questions. The interesting thing is no matter what the concern you tell them why you won't go for it, they always have a proposed solution and they always end their sentences with "just give me your credit card number". After a long time of talking, I finally told them I'm not interested and hang up.

The woman on the phone wanted to speak to my husband, as I asked her what it was all about, she started chattering about some free vacation on a cruise ship. My husband doesn't know the # either.
