Received a call from this number. It's from a company called Arbitron, it's a telemarketing firm. Thankfully we have the ability to block these types of calls.

How do I stop these calls. I actually talked to them in order to try and stop them from calling. Told them what radio stations I listen to. They said thank you and that they would not call back. They sent me forms. I sent them in to try and get them off my back.. They still call me at least 2 times a day and have been for several months. I do not answer now. I just want to know how do I stop them from calling me at 8:55 pm every night.

Calls my number two-three times a day-this is very disturbing. I never pick up the phone-they never leave a message after call goes to answering machine

Are there other protections against unwanted telemarketing calls?
The TSR prohibits deceptive and abusive telemarketing acts and practices and sets forth standards of conduct for telemarketing calls:

Calling times are restricted to the hours between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m.
Telemarketers must promptly tell you the identity of the seller or charitable organization and that the call is a sales call or a charitable solicitation.
Telemarketers must disclose all material information about the goods or services they are offering and the terms of the sale. They are prohibited from lying about any terms of their offer.

I have been receiving the calls from company called Arbitron (Arbitron's phone per caller ID is (410)312-8222 twice a day for last year. When I asked them not to call, the call frequency increases. The calls are about some radio survey.

Since they are a research company they adamently instist they are required to call the numbers that randomly appear in their system.

Unsure, he kept being belligerent to me saying, "is that how you answer the phone?" when I answered saying, this is a no call list number you're calling!
