Client received the same call yes ....IRS legal department......When I (CPA) called back and spoke to Ana Jones, I started asking some basic questions, that I would have expected them (IRS) to ask me before discussing the tax matter with me (CPA) they did not know what I was talking about. Asked a few more questions and they she up on me....
I have been in business as a CPA for over 25 years, when IRS is looking for you, they come in person.......and when it may be criminal......at least two agents will show up......truly a scam!!! be very careful

Just recieved a phone call , caller ID was from California and I am at east coast. Around 8:40am so this means that over in California it is 5:40am. A guy with Indian accent called and asking for my wife. Mentioning as himself from lawyer office along with IRS. Leting her know that she owes money.blah blah
