The call proported to be from the power company and offered us reduced rates if we pushed 1 and talked to a service person. We were advised our number would be removed from their list if we pushed 5. We did so. However, we have received identical calls from several numbers over the last month, often up to 5 times per day, from several different numbers. Pushing 5 does nothing and the calls continued. Blocking the number only results in calls from new numbers.

There is no answer ever. I get these calls about 4 or 5 times a day and it's very irritating.
Sometimes I answer or sometimes my machine answers, but there is never anything said.

I too, am getting multiple calls from this # and from 280-8848. I first blocked the 280# and they started calling from this# I called Century Link; no help - then the FTC. They referred me to the AZ Attorney General. I just filled out a complaint form online. Maybe if enough people do the same we can put these parasites out of business!

Hi there Brandy,
Like you, I too am being 'annoyed' by this phone number daily. At least 4 times a day. Not certain where to go with this at the moment? Looked up the outfit we have our landline with and they are charging from 10.00+ monthly to BLOCK phone numbers. It was never this way years ago. Let me know what you find out, and I will do likewise. Thanks for the post online. Diane
