I know there are mixed reviews here over what this number is, so I can only speak for me. I received a voice mail saying to call them about Comcast equipment not being returned. I have not been with Comcast in over 9 months so I was skeptical and called Comcast directly. Comcast had no idea why I was being called and my account was OK and nothing owed. I tried calling this number 508-623-2299 and entering my phone number and no account was found. Your results may vary, but scam for me.

The name on the caller ID came up as Martin, Austin D. (Thought when I saw the name it was funny that someone would call their kid Austin Martin.) The woman said she was calling from Comcast and did not have my name but asked for the person who was in charge of the Comcast Account. When I told her that I was that person, she started in with her spiel and said that I needed to return my Comcast equipment since I had cancelled my contract with them. This is not a legitimate business and Comcast and Verizon and Direct TV should know what they are doing.

they keep calling for equipment rental. I don't even have comcast. they wont stop calling and call multiple times a day. I finally got fed up and called their number and nothing. so I called their number they left in their voicemail but they have no records of me or something.
