This Company is Gen Paact. I asked them to spell it. I just called them back after they called my house yesterday morning at 7:14 AND 7:43 and 8:53 as well as many more times yesterday. According to the FCC and the FTC it is illegal for a debt collector to call someone before 8:00 a.m. and after 9:00 p.m. I spoke with Alex Swinson(?) who had a strong accent. I asked him what his company was and what they did. He tried to distract me by asking my name, my spouse's name and then by READING company policy to me. I tried repeatedly to cut him off since he kept saying "the reason for this call" as though he was calling me and not me calling them. Finally he said his company or "part" of his company worked for Chevron/Texaco. How many other parts are there? Then he tried to intimidate me by telling me this call was being monitored. Excellent!! I told him I was going to report him and his company to the FCC, FTC, the FBI (don't know if the FBI will do anything but it can't hurt to try) as well as to my state legislators. I ALSO told him NOT to call us again.
