The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) created laws that telemarketers have to follow and pretty serious penalties ($500-$1500 PER CALL), if they don’t comply. I’m not an attorney, but my brother is an attorney who works for a law firm who helps people locate the telemarketers and file claims against them.
