Called the home phone saying that it was a final notice about a lawsuit being filed by the IRS against us. Complete scam. Caller ID displayed 'New York'.

I received a call that claimed to be from the IRS, and that they were suing me after trying to contact me previously.
I have received a call like this once before. This time it was a woman calling, although no name was given.
I have passed the info onto the FBI and local police.

I have had several calls, first from a woman with an Indian accent. When I refused to talk to her, a man with a strong Indian accent called back and tried to tell me he was from Microsoft Tech Support and that my computer was infected. I argued with him just for fun and he kept telling me to go sit in front of my computer and he would show. I just hung up on him.

He called me back again over a period of several days trying to convince me how infected my computer was but he couldn't give me any specific until I was logged onto my computer.

Got a call from this number claiming to be IRS. Computer generated voice message left. Said they'd been trying to reach me and this was their final attempt to inform me a lawsuit is being filed against me. Tried to return call but just rang, no answer and no voice message.

Same as everyone else's story; he is an Indian man who claims he's with "Windows" which to me is the biggest "tip off" since he doen't say he's from Microsoft... And then of course he's saying my computer is sending data to them... Really?? I guess that is his reverse psychology or reverse irony?? Since what he really wants is access to my computer data! I really hope no one falls for this guy, eespecially my Mom, who I am calling right now to warn!

A guy with a strong Indian accent called most probably from Soust Asia over a bad connection and requested information about my computers. Also wanted me to go to some website to provide technical support to fix "my problems".

Definitely a scam.

I'm getting tired of being harassed by some East Indian caller who keeps telling me that there is something wrong with my PC and that he represents Microsoft. Very annoying ! Interestingly, I start having problems with my PC afterward. The number he's last called from is 516-746-9347. Since their calls, I HAVE been having problems with my PC. How are they doing this?

received a phone call Wednesday July 4, 2012 at approximately 1 pm from 516-746-9347. A man with an E. Indian or Pakistan accent called and said he worked for some firm that did work for Microsoft Windows. I asked his name and company stating that I did not understand anything he said previously. He hung up. Sound suspicious.

Received a call on a Saturday from someone claiming to be from "Microsoft" stating they had a report that my home computer had a virus that was broadcasting all my personal information. When I pressed for details on the report, the line went dead. Obviously a scam: 1. Microsoft doesn't call on Saturdays; 2. they wouldn't have someone call from India over a barely intelligible line for such a serious problem.

Got a call from this number, guy said his name was "Mike". He was claiming to be from "Windows" and my PC was filled with nasties. Knew it was the lastest scam going around so I told him so and hung up.

First called from a different number re "google listing". when I said I was not interested and did not understand his accent he called from the 516 nmbr and started swearing in Hindi.
