*** IDENTITY THEFT ALERT *** The Caller ID phone number is BAD, I tried calling it back. This is the typical Police and Firemen scam where they ask for donations. I have NO idea how they got my cell phone number, but I reported them to www.DoNotCall.gov for unlawful practices. This guy claims he is with the "Florida Association of State Troopers". His voice was very convincing. They read from a script. These con men are prepared to FALSELY answer the most detailed questions you have. Claims they are a FL registered non-profit 501C-5. Claims their registration number with the state are CH-260 and SS-371 or S-371. I asked for this specific information to post online. They claim they will send an information packet to your home address. I told them I am a 17 year veteran court reporter for Collier County FL courts and told him he is giving false information. He abruptly hung up. They are IDENTITY THIEVES who need your address and then need your credit card information for long term theft. IT IS A SCAM!!!
