It's a scam - they're going to tell you that you're being sued, and they can settle it now if you give them all your banking information. They use scare tatics and call non-stop. I was told that I had to pay them $600+ due to an online payday loan however they couldn't tell me the name of the company. I asked for something in writing to be mailed to me and he told me that they couldn't send anything in writing. I can't remember his name right now, but he had a very heavy accent from India and the call kept cutting out while I was trying to get the information from him so that I couldn't catch 1/2 of what he was saying. He had all my information, SS#, everything... very scary, I cancelled my bank account and I'm still receiving calls. I need to figure out how to stop the calls!

Told me they are suing me. Then he said if I wanted to know why, he would transfer me to a senior officer. I told him I was at work and that I didn't have time to be transferred and asked for a number I could reach them back at. So not sure what exactly it's all about. All I know is that this is a PA number and I haven't lived in PA in over 10 years. So what ever they seem to think they are suing me over is well outside of the SOL.
