Wife got the same call from the same "Jack Williams T". Asked the same questions as above, i.e., "want to lower your interest rate?" She was asked for banking information as well as credit card information on her Capital One and American Express accounts. She believed it until he asked for the account number of her credit union checking account. She was passed on to a "Kendra", who was to 'close the deal' by trying to convince her to pay $586.00 in two installments, for the privilege of lowering her rates. Fortunately for my wife, she hung up at that point. PLEASE hang up if you get a call from ANYONE offering to lower your interest rates! Bank card companies DON'T call for that reason. And, Thanks to all of you that contributed to this site with info about bogus calls. I'm doing the same thing, and wish we had checked it as soon as my wife got the call from these clowns.
