They did not tell me who they are, but asked for a person I have never heard of. I have asked them repeatedly to stop calling me, and to remove this number from their records. Doubt it will happen. I asked them for information on themselves. They told me the only person they would tell was the person they are asking for. I didn't ask what it was concerning, just for them to identify themselves.

We received a call asking to speak to (name of man). I think this was a collection agency calling, and I asked the caller if he was from a collection agency. He said he was a businessman. Caller ID showed up as Rochester, NY. We do not know the man being looked for. His house went into foreclosure, and we bought it more than 3 years ago. The man on the phone wanted to know if we were related to the man. I again asked the caller who he is, and he said he is a businessman and he wanted to help the man he was calling for. I said, "I bet you are." That was the end of the conversation.

This is a scavenger collection agency. They buy old credit card debts that the statute of limitations have run out on and try to scare people into paying. Google genesee Valley Assocaties... BEWARE

I have been getting tons of calls from these people and as a general rule I do not return or answer calls from unknown numbers, numbers without Caller ID or contain cryptic messages left on the answering machine or voicemail. As such these guys fall into all the above but I finally called back tonight and after 20 minutes of asking who they were, what they were and them refusing to give me any information I did some digging and found out exactly who they are and since no place on the Internet has this information but lots of people searching for the owner of the numbers I thought I'd put it all in one place.

(Note they are a collection Agency and after confirming I am not the one they want they did say they would stop calling but were VERY rude getting to that point.)
