Automated number saying we are irs and are filing a lawsuit against you. Call this number 028641234 which google goes to taxi etc but china, germany etc! B . Z

Caller was "Joe." he told me "There is repair ticket for your computer on Windows." He said he was from Montana, but he had a strong Middle eastern accent. I told him there is no problem and I never made a complaint. I then put my husband on. My husband told him "I don't have a PC. I have an Apple." Joe then told him, "OH yes, there is a problem on your computer, too. Go into Safari, and download a Manager assistant program, so we can take a look around and fix it." My husband told him, "I can't do that because it will give you control of my computer, which you have no right to spy in."
Joe Hung up Fast. This is a scam. This company is trying to get innocent Americans to hand over control of their computers to some foreign company where they will steal their personal information. They need to be put out of business.

This is the same hoax/virus access attempt that has been going across much of Canada. The user said that they had detected a problem on my computer. when i asked who they were, they hung up/

claimed to have reports of malicious software on windows based PC...when asked if they were sure I had a windows based PC they said "Yes"

When asked how they knew that, caller responded by saying " Your mom told me,...motherf..er:" and then hung up

I was told that my computer was sending error messages to their technical center and I needed to boot it up and they would walk me though the steps needed to fix it.
