called at 8AM, didn't pick up, callerf didn't leave a message. searched online to find as a Carnival Cruise scam number.

Someone called and said I had just won a free cruise trip, etc. I shut it off, because a figured it was a scam.
You know, I am wondering how they are getting my cell telephone number. It seems that every time I purchase something (my cell phone came apart and I had to go into AT & T store on 256 and get another inexpensive telephone) this is when I get calls. Will I have to inform my own provider not to give out my information? or just what is going on. I purchased some glasses and put down my phone number for contact purposes only, and began to get sam calls like this one. After this, I will be carefl not to put my cell number down.

They've been calling me too, but I haven't a clue who would be calling me from that area code. I wish they would stop!
