Left a voice mail telling me "the IRS is suing me" ....lol...okay...because the IRS would ever leave that information in a voice mail.

Came up PAYPHONE...Mr. Cooper said he was with US Finance asking for someone that does not live here. Asked him to take me off their call list, he said he could not. I asked to talk to his supervisor, his response was that he was on break, told him to go get him, he refused.
Asked to be transferred to his supervisors boss. He gave me a phone number to call. while I was talking to him I made the call to 631-982-3011, that number had been disconnected. I told him I called the number he gave me and doubled check the number,told him it was disconnected. He wanted to know how I did that. Told him I had another phone which he asked for that number also. Told him it was private number. He then told me that if I would say SORRY to him he would take my number off the list. Told him he needed to apologize to me for disturbing my afternoon. HINT his English was poor as well as his manners.

I got a phone call saying that they are calling from the Windows Service center. He is claiming they are getting an error message from my computer and he wants me to verify some files on the computer. I asked him how did he come to know about this and my number. He said, he got the error notifications on his server and he got my number from microsoft. I said, I will take care of that and I do not need any support.

No message was left from the -0885 number, but my caller ID showed it as a pay phone. It's now blocked, but am sure they'll find another way to call from a 'sister' number

I keep getting phone calls every other day now for the Technical Department for Windows. they are claiming they are getting an error message from my computer. I've repeatedly asked them to remove my phone number, and the last guy name "mike" said he WOULD NOT do it. even after threatening to call the police and get a lawyer involved. i've even gone so far as to block all unknown callers from being able to call me, now they unblock their number so they can call. Don't fall for this, is a TOTAL scam. the police are well aware of this in my town as it's effected a number of people that didn't know any better.

same as the rest. told me to go to my emails to verify my computer has viruses. he knows our address too. but all that is in the phone book.

BEWARE Caller is doing a SCAM!! Foreign accent!! They want your credit card info to use for "Software to protect your computer" this is a scam!!!!!

Guy called saying he was from IBM and that I have been getting error messages sent back from my computer. This is a fraud. Microsoft/IMB will never phone you in regards to computer issues.

caller said they were federal government wanting to give me a loan via werstern union but needed me to pay upfront some money. Scam!
