They called my phone and I told them I'm divorced from the person they are looking for and apparently, my ex-husband's bill is "my responsibility" because divorce means nothing. Um, it does when my name is NOT on it and the account was made after my divorce was final!!

Vee, if I were you, I would report them into the FBI about this...
they keep trying to collect a debt the same time that the other company is trying to collect however this debt was closed when they sent me a form to give my tax person so what they are doing is illegal I will take legal action against both Capital one and portfolio

Random calls from different numbers started after a collection agency named (Portfolio Recovery) called my number and I told them not to call my number again. Numbers so far are from 580-798-2779, 405-416-5420, 405-778-3788, 405-416-5412, ( Portfolios number is 620-860-0202). I call them back and get messages like thank you for calling and then it will hang up.
