They keep leaving messages on my phone.They say I need to call this number,I do not no who they are.They do not say why they are calling.Are the scammers?

Pretend to be legit but trying to scam people.

I received a call from this number and i was told i must not have been raised right and that i must have overdrafted a bank account with us bank ... in asking for payment they said that they understood i didnt want to od my bank account yet again (havent od in 5 years)... looked at my credit report... nothing there for the amount they are claiming... asked for something in writing offered fax or email ... i advised to send me something in the mail their response was would be to late to settle and they would garnish my wages and freeze my bank accounts and that they had 10 years to collect on a bank debt... that i should set up auto pay with them right now so i checked my credit report nothing there for this amount believe it is a scam
