They should be reported to the FCC, for repeatedly violating consumer rights under the Fair Trade Credit Reporting Act.... FTRCA.
Other searches for this number indicate it is GE Money. They call me multiple times each day, starting around 8am (sometimes earlier), and sometimes on weekends as well. Once in a while they'll leave a recorded message on my voicemail instructing me to call them back, but they never indicate what they are actually calling about. I have had them blocked via my carrier at least 5 times already, and they always manage to get through again using a different number. I refuse to answer my phone for any number I do not recognize, which puts me in a difficult position now because when I am called in to work on short-notice, the number comes up as UNAVAILABLE, and if I don't answer, my employer just goes down the list to the next person looking for someone to come in. So I lose out on hours and income.
If I had any accounts in collection, I could understand (to an extent - this is, truthfully, harassment); but I don't, and I cannot fathom what these people are calling me for.
