Same number called me, but the message said Ventura County inmate in pre-trial (I happen to live in Ventura County... how clever!) SCAM, in a later call from a different number they referenced this call and left instructions how to set up an account with a credit card to allow these calls. TOTAL SCAM don't give out credit card information or sign up for an account online!!

I didn't really hear the name, sounded like Randy. Collect call from mooselake correctional facility. I don't know anyone in prison or in jail.

it comes from a state prison-Moose Lake MN, it's not a scam you must know some one in prison!!

THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT ANSWER!!!!!!!!!! This is a way for scam artists to obtain money from you. I received a message from 713-574-1106 with the caller ID saying CORRECTIONS. Due to my line of work I was a little concerned and of course needed to investigate. The message said the inmate was calling from the Faribault Correctional Facility. So I called the Faribault prison directly and asked if an inmate were to call me out of the facility what area code would show up. I was told a 507 area code. It was confirmed that they do not use a switch board or company out of Texas where the area code 713 is coming from. I want to caution all of you not to answer this number or accept the call. You are just throwing your money away and giving in to these scam artists. Also, do not hesitate to report any scams to your local police department. These types of things are investigated by local and federal law enforcement agencies.
