Got a call from this number too. I have a Verizon call phone. With a Verizon phone plan you can block certain numbers from calling your phone. You just sign into your acct online and click on "Block Calls and Messages." You can enter up to 5 numbers at a time, and it blocks them for up to 90 days at a time.

Got a call from 718-822-9084 , they claimed to be from Microsoft New York city office. they said that they will repairs my computer by logging into it. trusting them to be from Microsoft, i gave them the details, they logged in and asked me to buy windows 7 , antivirus , etc for $700. I didn't buy anything but my computer is not working now.

Reports to be windows Service center and says my computer is sending out garbage to the internet. Then ask me to turn on the computer... they should already know if my computer is on or not.

Same thing happened to me. A big speech about data being downloaded to my computer without my knowledge. His reaction was quite funny when I said I had no computer or laptop (blatant lie obviously). I just hung up on him afterwards. Never called back.

Said they received an error report that will completely crash my computer system unless I let them fix it over the phone.

10 mins earlier I received a call from 607-735-0885 who hung up when i answered. Called back and heard "this number is no longer in service".

This number was flagged with multiple scams when i checked.
