Called on 08/05. Claimed to be from IRS and that they were doing an informational audit on my home business to see if the info at State Level and Fed Level were the same. EIN/FID info was given (it is public). "Mrs. Cohen" thought I sold religious goods. On 08/26 I discovered two fraudulent merchant credit card processing accounts had been set up with my EIN and the SSN of an 83 year old woman to process stolen credit cards. Found a third one two days later. All three accounts thought I sold religious goods. For the first two, they downloaded my Articles of Organization from the Secretary of State for my signature also on 08/05. Postal Inspector is sitting on the case as they listed a PO Box on all three applications. Caller did not know I have an 800 # into the home and I was able to retrieve this number from my phone bill.
