Phishing call. Hangs up after answering

Received a call this morning had my name and the make of a second car I own. Said, was calling about my warranty..."what warranty". Anyway asked "don't I care about my car" I said "well that's a silly question, told him I was on a business call and would not talk about this now".

"I need to speak with David."
David: "This is he"
Then they hung up

Hertag Svc & 732-807-5611 came up in caller ID. New phone that we do not answer and only have for internet. We have never given the number to anyone.

Called and asked for me by name. Then said they were calling about my Ford (something or other)..when I replied that I dont have and have never owned a Ford he hung up on me. I've had the same car since 1999 (a Dodge) and have never had to have it serviced anywhere, my Husband does any upkeep on it. Recently it needed a part replaced, but they wouldnt have my name for that since my Hubby took care of it and the car is in his name anyways. Hmm..wonder where they get their info?

These people are scammers. Furthermore each time I get my car serviced at the MAZDA dealership I start getting these calls. Apparently, the MAZDA dealership is giving out my information. Each time I get these calls, I push the fax machine button and/or block number. Car dealership are passing around our information, at least in this case MAZDA is doing this.

Caller ID reads, "HERTAG SVC" All scammers. I hook up to fax machine. You would think that these idiots would read the comments we put on google. It goes to show how STUPID they are. I never pick up numbers I do not recognize. I let the fax machine pick up and let them hear the nice ringing fax machine sound. These people are SCAMMERS/PRANK calls.

Received a call from this number. Male states they are calling about my Honda, asked how many miles it had on it. I refused to give him any information unless he told me who he was, at which point he said he was "Dealer Services" about my Honda warranty that was about to expire. He knew the date and model of my car. I told him how many miles it had and that I had purchased an extended warranty through my bank. He then transferred me to another male, who stated he was with the "Honda Corporate Service Department" in New Jersey. He told me he was very sorry, but Honda no longer accepted third party warranties. I then told him that if that was the case, I'd sell my vehicle and buy another. He then hung up on me. I believe this is a scam to try and sell an extended warranty, but I'm not sure how they got my specific vehicle info. I'm notifying Honda Corporate now, whose corporate office is listed in California.

It's for extended warranties. I've told them several times in the past 2 weeks that we already have an extended warranty. They called back today but it said Herdon, VA phone number 571 441 0029 didn't recognize the phone number though so I answered. When they called they didn't ask for anyone particular they just said what they were offering and I told them we already had an extended warranty. The person apologized and said they were taking my name and number off of the list but that it would take approx 3 days for that to happen. Not even 10 minutes later I get the call again which came up from Dealer Services with the phone number 732 807 5611 they asked for my husband when I said he's unavailable they hung up. I thought that was rude and of course wanted to know what this was regarding so I called back and told them I was hung up on and wanted to know what it as regarding that someone asked specifically for my spouse. This man told me extended warranties for vehicles was what this phone call was regarding and I told him we already had one on each of our vehicles and that they just called not even 10 minutes ago and they told me they would take me off the list right, so I said why are you all calling me back? and he hung up! Well that got my blood boiling I don't like to be hung up on. So I called back and of course I recognized the voice and it was the SAME man. I told him don't you hang up on me that I have your number in my phone (2) of them and I dared him to hang up on me. I said I'll keep calling back and tie up your line. I said first of all I got a phone call from a different number and I told them I didn't need a warranty. Second of all I was trying to explain to you that my name was supposed to be taken off the list about 10 minutes before they called. Third I was explaining to him that he hung up on me and didn't listen to me and that if he hung up on me I was going to report him. If this was a legitimate company I already had his name as he said it 2 times in 2 phone calls. Once where I called to ask what it was regarding cause I was hung up on prior to that and then hung up by him and then I had to call back and it was him.
