Today, it was from "Frederick Jones" at Harvard Collection Services. . . And it was "very important" that I call them back. For this call, he didn't identify me....or anybody else. According to his call, he'll be in the office for about another 45 minutes, today. I think that time will pass before I attempt to call him back! -- I did notice that a search for this number, alone, returned at least four different owners in the last couple years.

I also got a call from the "IRS" about unpaid back taxes from the IL department of revenue... they told me that they called me before and that I said that I would talk to my tax consultant and never called them back, but I have never received a call from them.

Everytime I asked them a question, they would back track and make something up...

Got a call, answered it. Starting talking about IRS issues, but as soon as I answered them I was put on hold indefinitely. Scam call ?

Comes up fake caller id. Upon internet search 800 notes many complaints list as a scam/irs scam

Got a call from this number and they didn't leave a message. I don't answer phone calls from numbers that I do not recognize. Based on the comments I'm reading, guess it's a good thing. Oh, did I mention, my phone number is on the "Do Not Call" list. Obviously that doesn't mean anything.

I looked up the number on the web and it says its a cleaning company. If I find out who this is I am gonna sue them blind. I have had it with dipwads like this.

I get a call from a lady named "Ms. Thomas." She says she is calling for the IRS! She said it was important that I called her back by 4:00pm! She even left an extension number (5345), but when I called the number, I just get a recording saying that all the agents were busy and I should leave a message for someone to call me back. They didn't even offer the opportunity to put in the extension number or to leave a message for Ms. Thomas!
