This collection company keeps calling me about an unpaid bill that I have never had! Many, many months ago I told them that I had never owned a Telus phone, so I don't owe them anything, but they still keep calling. Their phone numbers keep changing too. When I see an unknown phone number calling, I let it go to voicemail, they don't leave messages, I google the number, find out it's them and block it. A month or so later they call back using a different number which then gets blocked. They called using this number today ... at 7:30 in the morning WHICH IS ILLEGAL! CRTC rules state that NO company can call you before 9:00 AM if they are looking for money. They are getting reported now.

I sent CBV a letter today denying owing the debt, but you can demand that they correspond only by mail, to your lawyer........etc. Ask to speak to a supervisor each time. DON'T give them any personal info under any circumstances. Jim H.

I have been getting calls 4-6 times/day 7 days/week from this number which I now see from the other posts, is CBV Collections in Vancouver. A message is never left, nor have I heard a "human voice" - it all seems to be automatically called. Very frustrating and annoying - I tried blocking them on my cell phone but it still rings when they call. They also call our landline which by the way is an unlisted number. I never answer calls when I don't recognize the numbers, but this number is embedded in my brain, and I just get wrangy when I see it appear on our phones. Can't they be penalized for this?

For almost 4 months this number has been calling our line - I never answer numbers I don't recognize and there is never a message left for us. There has never been a name mentioned which makes me think it is a totally automated call. They call 7 days per week sometimes 5-6 times per day! It is absolutely ridiculous! I'm glad I clicked on these complaints - now I feel much better knowing the information stated on these pages. Thank you!

this number is has been harassing me looking for someone els they have said that they will delete my number from their list but still calls me at least 4 times a day and they will not tell me what the call is regarding to

they call many times a day even starting at 7 am until 9pm. This also includes weekends. I have put a block on this number but these people just don't stop. Is there nothing more we can do against these waist of time harrassing calls?

DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE CRIMINALS! CBV Collections are known for purchasing old debt files from companies for pennies on the dollar and trying to collect on them. These old debt files are usually already written off by the companies the money was originally owed to. Thus any money you send them goes into their pockets, not to the companies the debts are with. If you think you owe a debt and you want to pay it off, deal directly with the company you owe the money to. If you are unsure then get a copy of your credit report. If CBV are trying to get money from you, the debt will most likely show up on your credit report as written off by the original company.

I don't know what these people want! They call every two days, it's either a recording and then the phone hangs up or it's someone calling for "Amanda". So frustrating!!

This is a SCAM sponsored by CBVCollection company's Vancouver staff in their 'spare time'. This company, though registered as a legitimate collections agency is nothing more than a criminal gang front organisation. The corporate officers have a colourful and lengthy list of convictions for fraud and other monetary crimes. When the staff can no longer contact a live person via their illegal techniques, they turn to this SCAM to inflict arbitrary and punitive measures against whoever innocently owns the number they call. If you respond to this call with anything other than hanging up immediately, you will be charged a premium phone service fee. If you'd like to get back at the staff in some way just respond to this 'contact' page they list and use as much vile language and insulting words as you like. Be careful not to fill in any real information, just make up your own ficticious email domain, et al. Have some fun with this since it MUST be read by their staff AND becomes part of their corporate communications record. Enjoy yourself.
