got a call from "David" at this phone number today stating fraudulent activity on my business card -- he's right there was. Then he said there was a lot of activity in my persona account, including a $9000 wire transfer. When I said the wire transfer was not mine, he said that he would have to reverse it and proceeded to walk me though the steps so he would be able to take over my account. Thankfully, I went with my gut and told him I would call my local branch and have them look into it. I usually don't answer calls I don't recognize, but this one seemed so legit. Horrible people who should die slow deaths.
This is a scam number. Attacked me through my computer and wanted me to drain all but a nominal amount in my bank account and put it into a bit coin machine claming that this is the way the FDIC protects you.
I received a call from a person that stated that he was with JP Morgan fraud protection. The caller ID was that exactly like Chase (JPM). I called the phone # shown on the the caller ID and it was Chase Bank. The person said ther was a Zelle request and i need to do ....
Do not answer this phone number or you will be directed down the path to lose $5,000.00 like I just did. This person knows a lot about Chase. Do not be pressured into his agenda. Hang up and call the Chase Customer Service.
While you are calling Chase he will continue to call you back relentlessly.
Chase Bank takes no responsibility and can only request that Zelle look into it.
Caller claimed he was from Chase and that there was activity $2000 activity on Zelle from Chase account.
He stated that he need Zelle account deactivated. He stated that he would send a code that must be given to him.
This is a well planned fraud attempt. They have a sophisticated call center and plan to trap you. Had the code been given to him they would have emptied bank account.
Calls were placed to the original caller. They assertively claim to be Chase employees. They refuse to give the address of the building they are calling from. They place you on permanent hold if you question the person you are talking to.
