I called them back and told them I wanted a home loan modification. i said it was unfair that people making $500,000 a year are not entitled to the government loan modification yet the little guy working at taco bell and best buy does.
The lady said "oh.... .ok....." and hung up.
They called right before 9:00 PM and didn't leave a message. I re-dialed and they knew who I was and said "we called you earlier". I said "I know you didn't leave a message". The woman wanted to know how much debt I have, what the interests rates are, etc. She said it was a government sponsored program so there are criteria to meet. When she was done, she said she needed to transfer me to a supervisor and to feel free to ask him any and all questions. I said "wait a minute, what are the fees for this program?" (because I know reputuable programs don't charge, and she said "no up-front fees". Leaves a lot of room for other fees. I hung up. They've now called back 4 times and it's almost 10:00 pm.
this is a company called mspus.org they are a credit consolidation company and claim to be non profit and to provide "free" credit payment reduction. Looked more into the service and found that they charge up to 10% of you consolidation reduction. They also give $25 for each poor sucker you refer. I dont see how this can be an "non-profit" when they clearly profit from this service. The company has been around for some time so it is obvious they found some loop hole to get the non profit recognition. Another suspicious item I learned was that they are part of another company called ceba4u.com this company is not a non profit and they both share information off each others call lists. BEWARE!!!
they keep calling my personal phone, and keep hanging up each time i answer "hello"
I filed two reports immediately with the FCC and then I called the number back and got some Anthony or Marcus on the phone who said "oh we just called you earlier" and it sounded like he was surprised by my redial and said we are Consumer Protections or something and when I instructed him to take this number off the list and that I've filed complaints with the FCC he said nothing or something like "oh really" and I replied "if you do not take this number off your list I will pursue litigation" and then he paused and yelled in the background...something to Marcus saying "take me off your list too MAM" and slammed the phone.
