Called me from multiple fake numbers and called my friend about my supposed debt. I have no idea what debt they think they’re calling about and how they got my friends number. It was very embarrassing.
This number is for a company called URS. They called my house earlier today. Got the last name wrong. they spoke to my Mom earlier and when she asked what it was for they said "he will know" and hung up. Cant find any info about this group online If they are a collections agency I don't know why they're calling me. I'm caught up on all my bills!!!!

Its actually a collection agency that I've been dealing wqith to pay off a debt I incurred from American Express (and it was due to a deal that AMEX broke BTW). Its NOT a scam, but I agree trhat calling the neighbors regarding my debts are VEEY controversial and does feel like a violation of my privacy.
this company called me, my neighbors and whoever else looking for someone that we did not know. however, i assume it was from a debt collector. whatever the debt, i think calling the neighbors is horrible!!! I think it may be illegal. Debt collection is one thing but it should not be "dogged collection" by calling the neighbors!! things are bad enough - you don't need to resort to calls in the neighborhood - I don't think it will make the person pay any quicker!
