Spammers wanting my banking information
I keep getting calls 2 days back to back same person saying she is calling from Lutheran Hospital which is located in Fort Wayne Indiana trying to qualify me for
federal programs to help me pay my Mecicial bills. I state I do not have any outstanding bills. Radlin, she said was her name, said yes I do and I need to call 260-435-7001which is Lutheran Hospital's switch board number. Day one Randlin hung up on me, day two I was on hold waiting for her supervisor at Lutheran Hospital.
I received a letter from these people on the same day I got the bill from the ER. Really sounded lagit stating they were contacted by my hospital to help me get assistance with my bill. But something was henkie but couldn't put my finger on. I set it aside to reread it the next day. Always works ... I noticed the name of the Facility which they were contacted by on my case was wrong name. Close but switched hospital with health thought it may be the name of the management company so pulled my bill ...... Nope. Scanned the barcode on the front page to look at their web page for further information ... bogus. After looking for a website did find one but the information was worse than their letter. Their contact information email was was from Chs.net server which is a very legit healthcare management org. Anyone want to guess what happened when I tried the email .... Recipient unknown.
I'm going to verify more info listed like number of employee (3) but they have jobs opening on all of the job info site I use ..... This is real boiler room crap minimum .... Could be a info harvesting site or worst a identity theft scam.
Received a call about someone trying to help me with my emergency room visit. When I call back the answer ESS or eligibility services. Then the person gave me a horrible sales pitch on how they could help me with my emergency room bill. After asking questions about if I was a veteran or belong to an Indian tribe they told me I didn't qualify for any help and then continue to ask me for money 4 different times. BASICALLY THEY KEEP YOU ON THE PHONE LONG ENOUGH TO ASK YOU FOR MONEY. You Will not qualify for any programs because the only program they help you with his Medicaid. The corporation community health systems was recently suid for $98 million and settled. Come to find out they were old overbilling emergency room patients. This company are indeed crooks.
These guys are telemarketing all over the U.S. They use a shotgun style robo-caller and haven't enough staff to answer half the recipients who bother to answer. Apparently, we have a govt full of politicians who have been recklessly inept with our finances and are too busy trying to look for new ways of getting even more of our hard earned wages to grow govt even bigger and line their own pockets, to take the time to actually do anything about such civilian harassment.
The national do-not-call registry was just another scam to appease voters and wasn't intended to actually work. The only way to diminish this type of time-wasting irritation so that you can work harder and pay more taxes is to spend your own money and buy an effective call-blocker. And I'm sure the govt has figured a way to collect a cut of the money spent on that as well...
However, if you still want to go through the motions of registering the number or reporting them, look here for information that will help clear up the mystery caller:
