Just received a recorded call from this number stating they were CANCELLING my social security number due to "fraudulent activity perpetrated by you" unless I pressed "1" to discuss my options with a representative. I hung up and called the number back and received another recorded message stating the number "dialed is not in service." Clearly a robo-call scam ghosting a U.S. telephone number.
This is a company called PRC, that calls to ask survey & quality questions about recent hospital stays, to improve the quality of care. They didn't try to sell anything, & the woman represented herself by first & last name as soon as I answered. She was courteous, kind, and professional.
