Have call numerous times about activating my USAA credit card. Don't have one. Called USAA they they stated this number is not USAA & they have sent me a new card. I have been with USAA for 45 years & this not the way they work. They would write 1st to have me call. Plus I have not asked for or received a credit card from USAA.

I called back the number, and it is to USAA. Apparently it's the debt collection department, but I have no outstanding debt with USAA. The woman was confused about why I was called, and looked through the account log to see if any who has tried to contact me left any notes, but there was nothing noted. Strange.

If this number calls again, I'll reverse the questions to them and have them tell ME what my date of birth, USAA member number, and secret phone code is. How else can I very who THEY are? They could be masking their phone number with USAA's number.

It's a scam. I called USAA and they informed me that this IS NOT one of there numbers. If this happens to you, please email abuse@usaa.com to report this.
