I got a letter in the mail presumably from Centurylink to renew my annual choice about not sharing information. I called the number, it offered to our "valued customers" a $100 gift card to Walmart, Target, or whatever I chose with only a $1.95 processing fee. "Have your card ready..." When I declined, I got a recording that the number had changed to 800-712-3000. Iit was fishy, so I looked it up here. Thanks for sharing everone! Saves me so much Time!
I received call from 866-354-0567. No message then I got a text saying to call this # I called and got offered a $100.00 gift for only $1.99 processing fee or wait to talk to a rep. I opted to wait so I could tell them to take me off their list. A recording came on and said that the # had been changed to1-800-712-3000 called that # and received the same offer hit pound key to speak to rep and got another #.
Live links whatever that is
This number has somehow hacked into my company's voicemail, and instead of transferring calls to our voicemail our customers are being transferred to this 800-712-3000.... I am on the phone with CenturyLink right now to try to fix this. This is not good for business, to say the least!
Free cruise with a small $59.00 processing fee.
Some kind of travel related scam
