First thing this guy asked was if this was a private residence without even identifying himself! Eventually said he was from CA Dept of Health Services. When I pressed him for which State of CA administrative dept he was with, he said that they were "a nonprofit taking a survey". Interestingly, our phone # is unpublished. Hmmmm? He then said he was interested in talking to private residences, not businesses, so I suggested he could look in the white pages of the phone book and find lots of people to talk to (tee-hee-tee-hee) .......... he was not pleased with my "stupidity". It is amazing how superior scammers feel until you turn the scam back on them, LOL. The true joke is on him, smells like a phone scam / phishing trip to me!
By the way, to the best of my knowledge, "nonprofits" are exempt from adhering to the do-not-call list which is how political orgs supporting candidates skirt around it also. Get any of those calls at dinner time?
Caller said he is from the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System and calls to collect survey data. Caller ID showed up as 1-000-000-0000. Isn't it illegal to spoof caller ID?
