they call and want you to give them personal information, claiming that you have a debt they are collecting and that they have to validate your personal information, such as a full address. Are you kidding me? when you refuse to give them the personal information, they rudely say they cannot give you any information on your collection. Don't fall for it.

A-holes! Don't pick up my landline but got tired of the messages they leave every day so finally answered. It was for distant relation so I pressed 4 for wrong number and a real person immediately called back and got upset at me when I said that person is not that this number!!!! He finally hung up when I told him to take us off their list and don't ever call again!

This number was on a demand for payment from an alleged collection company, PennCredit Corporation. The collection demand letter claimed to be attempting to collect a parking ticket fine issued by Prince George's County, Maryland. I have never been to Maryland, I live in Alabama. The ticket was for a parking violation. The tag for the vehicle, which was sometimes described as a jeep and sometimes a 4 door Chevrolet, was not mine. I do not own either type of vehicle and never have and the tag was not the tag number on my car. I called Prince George's County parking ticket department. I was told that the ticket had been paid and that this ticket had not been referred to any collection agency. When I called the number on the collection demand, (800) 900-1361, I was told that although there were multiple irregularities in the paperwork, I would need to prove to them that the tag was not mine. Just proving that my tag for an entirely different car would not suffice and they still demanded payment. The phone number for the PennCredit Corporation is a different number. This obviously some kind of scam or fraud.

Calls from this number asking to talk to our son "on a matter of personal business" started shortly after he finished college. They used to call 2-3 times a day; after two years, it's down to about every other week. Scammer!

This number just called my mom's house asking for me and I haven't lived there in 9 years. The robo voice left a message and just said they wanted to speak with me about a personal business matter. Didn't say who they were or where they were calling from. I love websites like this so we can warn each other and report the bastards.

I don't use/give out my home phone number since I don't even have my landline set up, nor can anyone leave voicemails, but I would see the missed calls on my cell phone. These jokers kept calling my landline twice a day. Seeing as it showed up as "Penn Credit" I did a Google search and found they were a "collections agency." I gave the number a call from my cell phone: It didn't even ring, and a man's voice answers "Hello?" Didn't bother to identify himself or the "company" I'd called at all... I explained I keep getting calls from this number on my landline and he says "Okay, well all my phone calls are recorded. Give me the phone number and I will pull up the account." I gave him the landline number and he says "We're looking for a Caleb [my last name - redacted]." Neither I nor my husband's name is Caleb, nor is there a Caleb in the family. I told him no one by that name was at this number and he quickly replied "Okay I'll have that phone number removed from our records, we won't call again. Bye bye." SUPER SCAMMY!!! Beware!

My out of my state, retired father received a voicemail for me —regarding a “personal business matter”. So my Dad isn’t harassed, I returned the call. They answered “hello” & asked what I wanted. I told them my name & I was returning their call. She wouldn’t disclose their company name or who they represent unless I gave her my Dad’s phone number! Clearly using a database of phone numbers - I said I was sorry that I couldn’t help her if they couldn’t look up my name - I would not provide my father’s information
