They tried to get my Credit Card number and expiration date from me. When I told them I would not provide the information over the phone, they abruptly hung up.

Just got a call on my cell phone from this number but I don't answer calls from I don't recognize. If they were really looking for you, they would leave a voice mail message.

Answered the phone, it was a recording that said something about lowering my credit card interest rate, but did not say my bank's name. To humor myself, I pressed 1 to continue and hear their BS. The Indian-sounding man said "Oh I see you have over $3000 in debt on your credit cards". I told him "No I only have 1 card and I definitely don't have that much debt"... Boom, he hung up! Clearly some kind of scam going on here. Don't give them any personal information. Or better yet, don't answer. If you're not 100% sure it is your bank, don't trust them!

An automated recording calling about one of your credit cards, saying there is no problem with your account, but you can lower the interest rate. Says the deal will only last a little while longer and says this is your final notice to lower your interest rate to 6.9%. Call then said to press one (1) to speak to an operator, or press (2) to discontinue notifications.
