they call every ten minutes, i answer each time and they hang up. when i call back they say they are an insurance company and ask how many cars i have. i lied and told them one. then they asked for personal information. i gave them false name and numbers ( thats how i knew it was a scam ). after i gave them the information they disconnected me. i called back and asked them to take me off there calling list. they hung up on me. i did this 15 times and still they call every ten to thirty minutes. this is harassment and something needs to be done about it.

Ive been dealing with all the same stuff from these creeps everyone else has and also have told them not to call back and take me off their list but they still keep calling back

I am receiving numerous calls every day from this number. Usually I just let it ring through but I have picked up a couple of times to hear them hang up. Then, last night someone was on the line when I picked up and said they were from National Insurance. I told them never to call me again, take me off their list, and they are calling me again this morning. The woman's voice last night sounded like she was from India. I really want to know where to report this harassment.

I called the police department in Clover, SC (where the these phone calls originate from) to report the incident and spoke with a very helpful officer. I gave as much info I could provide in addition to including some of the comments posted at this site.

My cell phone provider said they cannot block the scam number and didn't give a reason. But from what I've heard, these scammers can call from a foreign country and mask their phone number with one from the states.

Maybe if we all work together we can bring these scammers down. There's power in numbers and the more who participate the better chance we have of stopping them before they can hurt others.

Received numerous calls from this number on my cell phone claiming to be with 'National Insurance Verifier.' I called them back on a different phone and spoke with a heavily accented rep. I requested to speak with a supervisor and was disconnected. I called back several times after and the same thing happened, and each time spoke with a foreign-accented person.

So here's what I did. First, I re-registered on the 'National Do Not Call List.' Next, I blocked this phone number on my cell & home phone. Finally, I answered one of their calls and answered all of their questions & provided information, HOWEVER, it was all false. Yep! I used character names from TV shows or books I read, and made up everything else.

With this action, I not only wasted their time (which is valuable since they're trying to rip us off), but, all the information given was fake. Maybe if enough of us do this, it won't pay for them to continue this scam.

Bottom line however is this. DO NOT GIVE ANY REAL PERSONAL INFORMATION!!!
