I also got a call from this number on 10/28/10 at 12:16pm! I did not pick up but when I checked my VM there was a message from a woman who referred to our "conversation yesterday" and said she could help me lower my rates on a loan (I did not catch what type of loan she was referring to). I do not have any loans, nor do I own a house. I deleted the message right away as I figured it was a scam. I forgot all about this call until today when I got an unsolicited text from number 702-689-5163 advertising a website for paydown loans. What the heck is going on?? I do not give away my cell phone # just to anyone!! How do these low lives get people's cell phone numbers??

Woman left message- called from this number. Said something like "Hi, we talked yesterday about lowering the interest rate on your mortgage..." I never talked to anybody about such a thing, since I don't own a house- I rent. I typically don't answer the phone if I don't recognize the # on my caller id.

yeah I got a phone call while I was at work but I picked up and hung up just to shut the thing up. Everyone I know and can call is in my caller ID. I tried to call back but didn't get through I can't do personal calls in my bosses time I'm not getting paid to do that. Only emergency calls on my phone.
Thanks for the info about callers. I'm not late for any payments nor do I want to lower my rates

This number showed up on my cell phone caller ID at 3:57pm CST. No message was left.

I got the same thing. "Oh, hi" and then silenced. I just hung up. if it was important they would have called back.

A man says "Uh, hi" and then is silent. This is my work cell, there is no way they could have gotten the number. Maybe a random phone number machine is generating phone numbers. Who knows.

I got the exact same call. An Ashley James, who implied that she had to spoken to "us" recently. The thing of it is, my phone number has been active for about one hour. It's a brand new line.

LOL. Got this call about how she can lower my interest rates, to one point something percent... Saying Im only making minimum payments on credit cards (not true) and the only real debt i have are student loans... left a toll free number 877.723.1427.

Just got a call identical to Nicole. Said she spoke to me last week (hmm, I was on vacation and can list every phone conversation I had that wasn't with a family member) and the credit cards I have are paid off (or nearly so) on a monthly basis - as far as student loans, I paid off the last one over 15 years ago...

I have received numerous calls from this number. Every time they have called, I have stated that I DO NOT want another call from them and I am not interested in anything they have to say. They always respond very rudely and slam the phone in my ear. I don't know what is being done about this but enough is enough. I always seem to get these calls at night or when I'm at work.

Same call today at 2:35pm Central Time. They called me at my work number. This is obviously a scam.

I got the exact same call at 9:03am. I let it go to voicemail as well because I too did not recognize the number. We don't have any credit cards either, so I thought it was a wrong number. Obviously, it is a scam.

Same thing happened to me this morning around 11. My phone didn't identify her, nor did she identify herself as "Ashley James" in her message, but she jumped right into stating that I was making only minimum payments on my nonexistent cards, this was my "last courtesy call," and that by "calling this toll-free number" she's "gonna help me lower [my] rates."

This was a credit consolidation company based out of Michigan that called my home at about 9:10AM this morning. I didn't pick up the phone because I didn't recognize the number and when I checked my voice mail it was a message from an "Ashley James" stating that she checked into my credit cards and because of my only paying the minimum monthly amount she can get my payment reduced but not as much as she would've hoped. She worded the call like I was part of a couple, which I'm not, and said this was her "last courtesy call" and to call her back at a different number than the number the call came in from. There are several problems with this call... The first is that I have no credit cards, the second is that I'm on the Do Not Call list, the third is that she implied there is more than one person on said credit cards. I'm not sure how I got on this list but I certainly don't appreciate it.
